What are the Types of Convergence:.

It has changed the entire scenario of communication. It has transformed our traditional ways to communicate. As a result of technological convergence the whole world has transformed into a global village, where cultures are merging and borders are diminishing with each passing day. There are four basic type of convergence. 


1. Digital Convergence 
2. Messaging Convergence 
3. Media Convergence 
4. Content Convergence 

Digital Convergence: It is mainly driven by Telecommunication, IT, Internet, Media and entertainment industries. It is based on digital technologies and digitized content. Or digital convergence is a combination of digital devices, applications and networks. 

Messaging convergence: Messaging convergence refers to the grouping of services that integrates SMS with voice. like voice SMS, spin VOX, IVR, mms, and many more. This convergence is mainly helpful for call centers, media companies, broadcasters etc. 

Media Convergence: Media convergence is basically the convergence of several media channels through digitization. It brings the computing, content, and communication (3Cs) together. Media convergence has highly influenced our social as well as professional life. 

Content Convergence: Content convergences defined as the portability of content which means that the content can be mixed and matched to fit new contexts. It provides an opportunity to individual consumers to interact with others on a social level and create a new experience with the help of various media platforms.

First Generation Computers (1946-1959) The computers produced during the period 1946-1959 with the them technology are regarded as the first generation computer. A vacuum tube is, reasonable enough, a sealed glass tube containing a vacuum in which are present several electronic elements: the cathode, anode, grid, and filament. When the cathode and anode are heated by the filament, and a voltage is applied across them, current flows between the cathode and anode. If a grid is inserted between them, the flow can be controlled by changing the grid between a positive and negative voltage.  The grid voltage can be quite small, and the plate voltages can be quite high, thus providing an amplifying capability.
