1. Dodda Alada Mara:
This tree is also called the Big Banyan Tree. It is a 400
year old banyan tree located in Bengaluru. It is one of the largest banyan
trees in the world. It is said that the tree has more than a thousand aerial
roots.
2. The Giant Wisteria of Japan:
It is one of the largest wisterias in the world. Wisterias
are woody, climbing trees. It has beautiful purple flowers that makes it an
ornamental plant. The Giant Wisteria of Japan is 144 years old.
3. Dragon Blood Trees:
This species of trees is native to the Socotra archipelago.
The trees get their name from the red sap they produce. Their sap has medicinal
and colouring properties.
4. Rainbow Eucalyptus Tree:
These trees shed parts of bark revealing a bright green layer
underneath. The inner bark then darkens and natures into shades of blue, orange
and maroon. They grow in Indonesia and parts of South East Asia.
5. Baobab Tree of Madagascar:
These trees are huge with an unusual massive reddish
cylindrical trunks. These trees are only found in Madagascar.
