When a robot is designed to execute highly sophisticated instructions  it is referred to as an android.
An Android is a robot or synthetically designed organism which is designed to look and act like a human. They have a body which has flesh like covering. They have largely been seen in science fiction movies. But efforts and research and developments in robotics have allowed the design of functional and realistic humanoid robots.
Android also refers to a mobile operation system based on Linux. It is primarily designed for touch screen mobile devices like Smartphone and tablet computer. The OS uses touch inputs which are similar to real life actions such as swiping. Tapping. Pinching and reverse pinching. Android OS is also used in game consoles and digital cameras.

What is Vacuum Tube

A vacuum tube is, reasonable enough, a sealed glass tube containing a vacuum in which are present several electronic elements: the cathode, anode, grid, and filament. When the cathode and anode are heated by the filament, and a voltage is applied across them, current flows between the cathode and anode. If a grid is inserted between them, the flow can be controlled by changing the grid between a positive and negative voltage.  The grid voltage can be quite small, and the plate voltages can be quite high, thus providing an amplifying capability. More importantly for computers, switching the grid voltage causes the tube to act as a switch with respect to the plates.
