What is Deforestation

From a long time now, around 10 to 12 years, forests are being cut down at massive rates because when people move from rural to urban areas, they need space to live. '5 km space is made available to them by cutting clown trees. This cutting or telling down of trees is called deforestation. Some causes of deforestation are:

Make land available for residential at well as commercial ones, that is, urbanization.
Trees are also cut down to obtain wood and timber.
Activities such as mining, logging and nuclear weapon testing cause deforestation.
Commercial agriculture is also a cause of deforestation.
Overgrazing by cattle.
All these causes have drastic impacts on us. Some of them are discussed here:
The topsoil of the land becomes loose and infertile, leading to soil erosion.
Plants and animals lose their natural habitat.
Natural calamities, such as earthquakes and landslides, become common.
Pollution is also an impact of deforestation.
Traffic congestion is also caused became of deforestation.
Quality of air that we breathe also becomes very poor because of deforestation.
Water cycle also gets affected.
Loss of biodiversity.

What is Vacuum Tube

A vacuum tube is, reasonable enough, a sealed glass tube containing a vacuum in which are present several electronic elements: the cathode, anode, grid, and filament. When the cathode and anode are heated by the filament, and a voltage is applied across them, current flows between the cathode and anode. If a grid is inserted between them, the flow can be controlled by changing the grid between a positive and negative voltage. The grid voltage can be quite small, and the plate voltages can be quite high, thus providing an amplifying capability. More importantly for computers, switching the grid voltage causes the tube to act as a switch with respect to the plates.
