What is Hacker and Cracker.

Hacker: Hackers are highly technical people who secretly break into computers to steal important data or sometimes to destroy it. Hackers not only steal the important data but also hack applications and websites to change the program logic's. Hackers usually tamper with data for unethical purpose, just for obsession to break system securities. Although hacking is done without any consent from the user, but it is not always destructive. Hacking which is done for a good cause such as national security etc. is known as Ethical hacking. Ankit Fadia is a well known ethical hacker from India.

Cracker: Crackers are technical people who are experts in breaking into systems, to steal important data such as financial details or passwords etc. sometimes they use key loggers for this purpose. Crackers also cause harm to computers by destroying data. Apart from this they disturb applications by spreading malware's, changing program logics and outputs.

What is Vacuum Tube

A vacuum tube is, reasonable enough, a sealed glass tube containing a vacuum in which are present several electronic elements: the cathode, anode, grid, and filament. When the cathode and anode are heated by the filament, and a voltage is applied across them, current flows between the cathode and anode. If a grid is inserted between them, the flow can be controlled by changing the grid between a positive and negative voltage. The grid voltage can be quite small, and the plate voltages can be quite high, thus providing an amplifying capability. More importantly for computers, switching the grid voltage causes the tube to act as a switch with respect to the plates.
